When a concerned group of families established the CF Foundation in 1955, they set their sights high—aiming to advance understanding of cystic fibrosis, create new treatments and find a cure. Today, the CF Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is the primary sponsor of critical research that is making tremendous strides to cure and control this fatal, genetic disease. The Foundation also accredits and funds a nationwide network of approximately 115 CF Foundation-accredited pediatric care centers, as well as 55 affiliate programs and 96 programs for treating adults.
